2009 Suicide Pool Pick - Week 11

19 11 2009

Here’s our Week 11 suicide pool picks in the order we’d select them.

1. Cincinnati Bengals vs. Oakland Raiders

So long as the Bengals don’t suffer a letdown, and that’s not likely with this group, getting to 8-2 will be a cakewalk. Expect Cincinnati’s defense to hold the Raiders to under 10 points, and offensively, behind the legs of Cedric Benson and arm of Carson Palmer, to put up between 24 to 30 points in Oakland. This will be an easy win.

2. New England Patriots vs. New York Jets

Does anyone think Bill Belichick’s forgotten all the trash talking done by Rex Ryan, Kerry Rhodes and Bart Scott prior and after their Week Three loss in the Meadowlands? We don’t. And coming off a bad loss to the Colts, this is not the time you want to play New England. Look for Belichick to treat this one personally and for Brady and Co. to run up the score in a blowout on Sunday.

3. Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Redskins

While the Redskins could keep this close, they’re not going to see their win from last week turn into a winning streak against the Cowboys. There’s still too many issues on offense and the Cowboys defense has played very well over the past month. LB/DE DeMarcus Ware has become a force again and the secondary is shutting down opposing passing games. On top of that, Romo’s  raised his play since Miles Austin entered the lineup (sans vs. Green Bay) and he’ll do well this weekend.
