2009 Fantasy Rankings - Week 11 WRs
18 11 2009
1. Andre Johnson vs. Tennessee Titans
The Titans have shored up some of their secondary woes but after Sunday’s game, in which T.O. and Evans had solid games, it’s apparent that issues still exist. And Andre Johnson is not the man you want to face with issues.
Expect a big receiving night for Johnson with over 100 yards and a few scores. He’s our top ranked fantasy football WR in Week 11.
2. Reggie Wayne vs. Baltimore Ravens
Reggie Wayne was simply brilliant in the Colts win over the Pats. Even though Belichick tried to stop him, he couldn’t. The same will prove true for the Ravens. Look for No. 87 to abuse the Ravens secondary and top 100 yards with a score in Week 11.
3. Larry Fitzgerald vs. St. Louis Rams
Guess who’s back? Fitzgerald reached the end zone again in Week Ten and added seven catches for 73 yards in the process. He’ll have another opportunity for a big game in St. Louis and we don’t see the Rams secondary stopping him.
4. Roddy White vs. New York Giants
The Giants have had difficulty stopping top tier receivers in 2009 and the Falcons will now need more from Roddy White with the absence of Michael Turner from the lineup. Expect Ryan to locate White for one score in the Meadowlands.
Sleepers
1. Brandon Gibson vs. Arizona Cardinals
He came out of nowhere on Sunday and put up 93 yards vs. the Saints. Without any real receiving weapons outside of Donnie Avery to throw to, and he’s a No. 2 at best, look for Bulger and the Rams to target Gibson plenty in Week 11.
2. Legedu Naanee vs. Denver Broncos
Naanee is an excellent fantasy sleeper this week and caught a TD vs. the Eagles in Week Ten. The Chargers will pass in order to win and we think Naanee will score again with all of the attention being paid to San Diego’s other skill players.
Others We Like
Vincent Jackson vs. Denver Broncos
The Eagles were the first team to stop Jackson and held him to just one catch for 10 yards on Sunday. That won’t happen two weeks in a row. Look for Jackson to be a focal point of the passing attack and get deep at least once for a long score.
Brandon Marshall vs. San Diego Chargers
Marshall came to life in Washington (two long TDs) and will be a key player in this Sunday’s contest. Look for McDaniels to move him around and take a few shots down the field. Cromartie’s been beaten by Marshall before.
Steve Smith vs. Atlanta Falcons
The Giants have had two weeks off to prepare for the Falcons and Atlanta’s weakness on defense is its secondary. Look for Eli to target Smith and for the receiver from USC to catch a TD.
A Few More
Steve Smith vs. Miami Dolphins
Anquan Boldin vs. St. Louis Rams
Sidney Rice vs. Seattle Seahawks
